Inspired by my identity, driven by diversity…

About R:

What started with childhood crayon doodles and ketchup paintings has become a lifelong passion for visual art. I’ve come to love drawing more than anything, though I continue to branch out into new mediums. From illustrations to comics to graphic design, my skills are here to see - and perhaps purchase!

Viewing life through the artist lens also sparked a curiosity for the natural world. Decades of observing, studying, and many museum trips led to an academic career in interdisciplinary science and informal science communication. This biology-focused foundation brings both creativity and realism to my portfolio. Additionally, I love all things geek (especially videogames, anime, sci-fi, and monster movies) which shows in my subjects. Other hobbies include music, photography, vegetarian cooking, and recently birding!

My experiences are woven into my work - who I am is present in what I do and how I do it!

I’m proud to share my art - and thus part of myself - with you!
